Abstract:In order to restore U.S.leadership,repair its damaged international image,and rebuild international consensus on nonproliferation,President Obama proposed a series of policy changes in nuclear disarmament,arms control,and nonproliferation.Meanwhile,challenges to Washington’s nuclear policy change include:coordinating policy differences among different governmental agencies,maintaining balance between nuclear disarmament and nuclear deterrence,and striking a balance between nuclear disarmament and missile defense.America’s nuclear policy adjustment poses a variety of pressures on China.China should take precautions to respond to these pressures.
